… the Earl recounts how in November 1907 his butler, George Andrews, had undergone a very serious operation at the hospital in Queens Square in connection with a tumour on his spine.
The Earl told him “you are not going to have [the pain] again.
Andrews never had the pain again, much to the surprise of those who were attending him.
The Earl continued to treat his butler daily for about four months. “His improvement was marvellous. He became cheerful and was able to walk about, and lived for a year and nine months.”
